Owning a Springfree Trampoline means enjoying years of safe, fun bouncing, but to keep it in top condition, regular maintenance is a must. Think of it as a "bottom-up health check" - starting from the ground and working your way up to ensure every part is functioning properly. Here's how to keep your trampoline safe, clean, and ready for action.

Here is a breakdown of our step-by step guide to properly look after your Springfree Trampoline:

1. Start with the Legs and Frame

The foundation of your trampoline is its frame, so it's essential to begin your maintenance check here.

  • Condition of the Legs & Frame: Check the legs and the overall frame for any visible signs of wear or damage. Ensure they are secure and stable.

  • Centre Posts: The center posts should be aligned and correctly positioned. If they’re misaligned, this could affect the stability of the trampoline.

  • Nuts and Bolts: Verify that all nuts and bolts connecting the legs and frame are tightly fitted. Loose bolts can lead to instability and even damage to the frame over time.

2. Mat Condition: Top and Bottom

The mat is where the fun happens, so keeping it in good condition is critical for safe jumping.

  • Mat Rod Sleeves: Check if the sleeves that hold the mat rods are in good shape. Any tears or damage here can lead to premature wear.

  • Mat Rods: Ensure the rods are correctly positioned in their sleeves and are sitting securely in the mat rod holders. If any rods are loose or damaged, replace them immediately.

  • Cleanliness: The bouncing area and underside of the mat (especially where the mat rod holders sit) should be cleaned regularly. A good jet spray clean will do wonders to keep things fresh and free from dirt buildup.

  • Holes in the mat: If there are any holes in the mat at all, it is important you replace your mat.

3. Inspect the Net: A Key Safety Feature

The net is there to keep jumpers safe, so ensuring it's in great shape is essential.

  • Condition: Check for any holes, rips, or wear. The fabric should be intact, especially where the rods are fitted through the bottom of the net.

  • Zipper Functionality: A smooth-operating zip is key for easy access. If it’s starting to stick or become difficult to open/close, applying a little Vaseline can help improve its movement.

  • Net Rod Sleeves: Examine the sleeves where the rods fit through the net. These should be secure and undamaged to ensure the net stays in place.

  • Rod Fit: Make sure the net rods are securely inserted into the net at the top. If the rods can be easily pulled out, they haven’t been pushed in far enough, which could compromise safety.

4. Double-Check the C-Clips

The C-clips are small but essential parts of the trampoline’s structure. These should be properly inserted into their holders on the frame. They help to keep the net and other parts firmly in place, preventing any shifting or movement during use.

5. Accessories: Check the Hoop and Step

If your Springfree Trampoline has any additional accessories like a hoop or step, be sure to give those a thorough check too.

  • Trampoline Hoop: Make sure the hoop is properly secured with nuts, bolts, and cable ties. This ensures it stays firmly in place during play and doesn't become a safety hazard. If a part is missing, we do offer a kit to help put the hoop back together. You can find it at the bottom of the spare parts page.

  • Step: Check that the step is positioned correctly on the frame and is stable. It should provide a safe, easy way for users to get on and off the trampoline.

6. Give It a Good Clean

Lastly, after inspecting all the components, a general cleaning of the trampoline goes a long way in maintaining its condition. A jet spray clean will not only help remove dirt from the frame and net but also prevent the buildup of dust or leaves that can damage the fabric over time.

Maintaining your Springfree Trampoline doesn’t have to be a daunting task. By following this simple "bottom-up health check" approach, you can ensure your trampoline stays in peak condition for years of fun and safety. Regular inspections and proper care will keep everything from the legs to the net in great shape—giving you peace of mind and ensuring the trampoline remains safe for the whole family.

It’s always worth checking if your trampoline is still covered by its warranty. Remember, the frame, net, and mat are covered by a 10-year warranty, while accessories are protected for up to 1 year.
