Dr Keith Alexander, Dad and Engineer,  wanted his daughter to have a trampoline when she was 2 years old, but was worried trampolines were too dangerous. He found that in the US during this time, there were 100,000 children a year injured on trampolines, mostly from falling on the frame or springs, or falling off altogether. As an inventor, he decided to do something about it, and started his mission to redefine the trampoline and provide safe backyard play for kids. He reengineered its design to eliminate the impact points that are the cause of most trampoline injuries. His dedication and our belief that children deserve safe backyard play fuels our commitment to education and our passion for innovation and quality. Today, more than 20 years after the Springfree journey began, our mission remains the same. It is, quite simply, to change the definition of trampoline.

When developing the Springfree Trampoline, Dr Alexander and his team of professional engineers created a superior design that focused on safety. The team scoured the world for the best quality materials and components. We came to the conclusion that the only way to ensure safety was to build our own factory, with our own employees and our own quality control facilities. Our manufacturing facilities are located in China and we are proud to have one of the most stable workforces; having invested in education and childcare for our associates. We are fully integrated – from design, to manufacturing to dedicated offices and showrooms across the globe. In order to ensure the integrity of the world’s safest trampoline, it was important to us to oversee all aspects of the manufacturing, delivery and servicing – to maintain the superior safety and quality.

Springfree Trampoline provides a bounce similar to a traditional, spring-based trampoline in terms of how high you can jump. More porosity means it pumps less air and instead gives the energy back to the jumper. Springfree Trampoline mat fabric provides porosity equivalent to traditional trampolines of the same size.

However, the feel of the bounce differs as Springfree Trampoline has a smooth, non-jarring bounce. The deep, soft bounce of a Springfree Trampoline is much gentler on knees and joints for the jumpers.

Mat Rods - Instead of springs which tend to stretch, rust and trap toes, feet and any other limb, Springfree’s revolutionary design uses patented flexible rods. Constructed from a composite material, The rods provide a smooth, safe, non-jarring bounce and lie beneath the jumping surface, out of harm’s way.

SoftEdge™ Mat - Our mat removes hard edges and is 30 times more shock-absorbent than pads found on traditional trampolines.

FlexiNet™ Safety Enclosure - The patented FlexiNet enclosure has flexible rods to cushion jumpers and prevent falls. The jumper is guided back to the middle of the mat and cannot make contact with the net rods. The double – zip net also provides easy acess but ensures jumpers cannot fall through the opening.

>Frame – It’s hidden beneath the mat out of harm’s way. With three layers of rust-preventative coating, our steel frames are built to endure even the most extreme weather.

The SoftEdge™ Mat is able to absorb a lot more energy than normal safety pads. In fact, the Springfree Trampoline edge is equivalent to the 70mm thick padding used on Olympic standard trampolines!

Traditional trampolines require safety pads to protect the jumper from falling on the steel frame, falling through or getting caught in the springs. However, independent safety tests show that these pads do not absorb enough impact to sufficiently protect jumpers from contact with the springs and frame. Springfree Trampoline’s unique design has completely removed the springs and steel frame at jumping level, so there is no need for safety pads.

Springfree Trampoline’s FlexiNet™ enclosure is strong yet provides a unique flexibility that gently guides wayward jumpers back to the middle of the trampoline.

Some spring-based trampolines may have enclosures but they aren't flexible and are held up with rigid steel poles which introduce another impact risk. Standard enclosures only stop jumpers from falling off. There is still a risk that these jumpers could come into contact with the springs and frame.

The FlexiNet™ on a Springfree Trampoline is also UV-resistant to prevent deterioration from the sun and other harsh weather conditions.

Our FlexiNet™ enclosure system is designed to catch wayward jumpers and guide them safely back to the center of the mat.

Even in cases where the FlexiNet is challenged by intentionally jumping into the top section of the enclosure, the design of the net will keep the jumper safe. It is possible for a skilled jumper to make the net flex to the ground but the FlexiNet will still absorb the jumper's impact and decrease the speed at which the jumper is lowered to the ground, minimizing the eventual impact.

All Springfree Trampolines are sold with the FlexiNet™ enclosure. While it is possible to install a Springfree Trampoline without the FlexiNet, we do not recommend doing so as it is one of the most important safety components of the Springfree Trampoline. It is designed to gently guide jumpers back to the center of the trampoline and eliminates the risk of them falling to the ground.

Springfree Trampolines do not have any twisting action from the composite rods, it is lateral movement.

While the Springfree Trampoline is the only trampoline to sucessfully eliminate 90% of product-related injuries from traditional trampolines, trampoline injuries can also occur from jumper collisions if more than one person jumps at a time. To ensure your family avoids injury altogether, we highly recommend enforcing the ‘one at a time rule’ when jumping on the Springfree Trampoline.

To understand the strength of a Springfree Trampoline, there are two weights you need to be aware of - the Structural Load Capacity and the Maximum User Weight. The first relates to strength and the second relates to safety.

The Structural Load Capacity is the amount of static weight a trampoline can hold. A Springfree is strong enough to hold more than this weight, but this limit allows for a safe margin before the mat will touch the ground.

The Maximum User Weight is based on how heavy you are and how high you jump. It is about ensuring jumpers don’t ‘bottom out’ (touch the ground while jumping).

The high-performance rods on a Springfree Trampoline are housed in light plastic sleeves that protect the composite rods from UV rays. These sleeves may deteriorate over long periods of time as they take the full force of UV exposure, but they can be replaced. The rods and sleeves are covered under our 10-year warranty. The extra clearance space is important for safety. A minimum of 3ft clearance is recommended around the perimeter of the trampoline. This is to protect the net rods against damage when the net is fallen in to. The easiest way to work out the additional space required would be to add 6ft to the length and width. For example, for the 11ft square you would need a clearance of 17 x 17ft.

Springfree trampolines can be installed & used on a sloped surface, however it depends on the gradient of the slope. Any slight slopes are fine; we recommend no larger than a 12% gradient, anything larger would require some levelling. An easy way to level a Springfree is by digging a channel the width & length of the frame legs on the higher side of the slope. The legs on our trampolines are not adjustable. 

The Ground Anchor Kit is a great way to add a bit of extra security to your Springfree if you have positioned it on a slope.

Springfree Trampolines are delivered and installed all over the UK by our in-house operations team and third party installation team who have been working with Springfree trampolines for over 10 years! Once your date is booked in, we will be in touch with you on your delivery date to provide updates and keep you in the loop.

Goods can be returned within 7 days for a full refund, In compliance with the Consumer Protection (distance selling) Regulations 2000. It is the responsibility (including the cost) of the customer to return the unused goods in their original packaging using a safe and secure method to return the goods. Once we have received the items, we will refund the customer using the original payment method. We reserve the right to deduct reasonable costs in returning goods to a saleable condition where the goods have been damaged in transit or where the goods are returned in a used condition.

You can cancel your order at any time before we dispatch your order from our or before the expiry of 7 working days after placing your order. This must be done in writing to the Ergo Group Ltd Head office to be eligible for a full refund. We reserve the right to deduct any reasonable costs associated with late cancellation. Yes! We are proud to be the only trampoline to offer an industry-leading 10-year warranty on the entire trampoline! Don’t be fooled by other trampoline warranties – independent research has shown that certain components in competitors’ warranties have reduced warranty periods.

Springfree Trampoline warrants its products to be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal domestic use and service conditions which do not include general wear and tear, burns, cuts or snags.

The 10-year warranty is valid for trampolines purchased from 1st September 2017. If you purchased your trampoline before that date, please contact us for more information.

We are pleased to offer professional installation services throughout mainland UK. There is an additional charge for this dependent on the model of trampoline you purchase. We are still able to install your trampoline under the current circumstances, and rest assured we have measures in place to make sure the current government guidance is being followed. You can install the trampoline yourself if you wish. For first time assembly, we recommend having 2 people to put it together, and about 3 hours to complete the installation. Our trampolines come with manuals, however if you prefer a visual aid, there are lots of installation videos on our website which should help you. Alternatively, we have recently launched our manuals on the BILT app! BILT makes assembly straightforward and intuitive, with smooth 3D graphics to guide you through the installation. Our professional installers will come to your house and set up your trampoline, so you can sit back and watch the magic happen! The installers will talk to you and assemble the trampoline wherever you like in your garden. Rest assured we have measures in place to make sure the current government guidance is being followed.

We recommend regular visual inspections of your Springfree Trampoline to ensure everything is as it should be. We also advise removing any leaves, debris or snow from the trampoline. Be aware that some cleaning products contain harsh and abrasive chemicals, which can cause damage to your trampoline, however we do recommend using a soft brush and hose, or pressure washer (if you have access to one) to remove any dirt and moss. For stubborn dirt, a mild dishwashing detergent should get your Springfree looking brand new! All Springfree Trampolines are weather-resistant, including UV stabilized mat, safety enclosure and net rods, as well as a galvanized and powder-coated steel frame which is impervious to rust. An All-Weather Cover is available should you want to protect your trampoline during the winter months and make sure it’s still looking brand new in spring!

Your Springfree Trampoline can be used all year round and does not need to be covered or packed away even during the harshest summers or the coldest winters. Springfree Trampoline mats can hold quite a lot of weight, but in very heavy snowfalls you will need to brush off the excess snow (with a soft-bristle brush, not a shovel) to avoid extra tension on the composite mat rods located beneath the jumping surface.
